FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference football game this afternoon at home, falling 56-34 to Concord University on Senior Day at W.B. Adams Stadium. This was the first ever football contest between the two schools.

THE BASICS
Concord came out hot, jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first six and a half minutes of play. Ferrum settled in and drove 76 yards on its next possession, capping the drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass from
Eli Foutz to
Omarza Gray to trim the score to 14-7. Concord would lead 21-13 at the break, with Ferrum's
Jon Davis adding a pair of 37-yard field goals in the second quarter.Â
The Mountain Lions scored back-to-back-to-back touchdowns to open the third quarter and take a commanding 42-13 lead, before Ferrum would score on a 36-yard touchdown pass from Foutz to
Tyrik Bryant to close out the third and make it a 42-20 game.
Quinn Parks hauled in a 15-yard pass from
Zach Wyatt at 7:30 of the fourth quarter and
Jycen Anciso rumbled in a from a yard out with 4:15 left to play to trim the lead to 49-34. Concord would close the day with another touchdown just under the two-minute mark for the final 56-34 score.Â
