THE BASICS
Concord led twice in the game, the opening basket by Kennedy Scales, then again on a pair of free throws by Kenyah Stubbs a minute into the game to make it a 4-2 game. The two teams were tied at 9-9 in the first quarter when a layup by Dezariyah Clark and two layups by Sofia Ponce spotted the Panthers a 15-9 lead with 2:20 left in the quarter. Aleksandra Kubiak's three-pointer with less than a minute left in the opening quarter gave the Panthers a 20-10 lead after one.

Kubiak made a layup at 7:19 of the second quarter, was fouled and converted the ensuing free throw to expand the lead to 28-13. Breyana Kimmons had a layup at the 2:40 mark of the second, then knocked down a three-pointer with 1:26 left to give the Panthers their largest first-half lead, 38-20. Scales was fouled at the other end of the floor and sank two free throws with less than a minute to go to make it a 38-24 game at the break.

The Mountain Lions came alive in the third quarter, trimming the lead to seven points, 40-33, at the 6:50 mark. Kleiauna Riddick's three-pointer at 3:51 pushed the lead back up to 12 points at 47-35. Abbie Smith's tip-in with 31 seconds left in the third cut Ferrum's lead to 51-45.

Scales made a layup for Concord at 9:04 of the fourth quarter, was fouled and sank a free throw to get the lead back down to six points, but the Panthers ramped things up down the stretch. Kimmons' three-pointer with just over two minutes left in the game widened the lead to 17 points at 73-56.
