?MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- Dezariyah Clark's jumper with five seconds left in overtime lifted Ferrum College to a Conference Carolinas women's basketball road win over University of Mount Olive, winning 59-58 at Kornegay Arena. Clark closed the game with a game-high 22 points for the Panthers.

THE BASICS
A defensive first quarter ended in a 7-7 stalemate.
Breyana Kimmons had a layup and a three-pointer for the Panthers, while Clark added a jumper. Ferrum outscored Mount Olive 21-14 in the second quarter to take a 28-21 lead at the break.Â
The third quarter was another standoff, with both teams scoring 11 points to make it a 39-32 Ferrum lead after three. Mount Olive ramped things up in the fourth quarter, outscoring Ferrum 16-9, including Kayla Jackson's three-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 48-48 and send it to overtime.
Savannah McAfee knocked down a three-pointer for the Trojans 22 seconds into the overtime period, but Ferrum's
Taryn Blankenship made one of two free throws and Clark converted a layup at 3:33 to tie the game at 51-51. Clark made another layup, was fouled and made the ensuing layup to put the Panthers out in front 54-51 at the 2:36 mark, only to see McAfee drill a three-pointer at 1:26 to tie the game at 54-54.Â
Sofia Ponce put Ferrum back in front with a layup, but Jada Priebe tied the score at 56-56 with a jumper at the 0:56 mark. Ponce was fouled with 26 seconds left in OT, making one of the free throws to make it a 57-56 game. On UMO's next trip down the floor, Priebe hit a jumper in the paint with 17 seconds left to give her team a 58-57 lead. Following a 30-second Ferrum timeout, Clark made the game-winning jumper with 0:05 showing on the clock. Priebe missed a three-pointer at the other end as time expired.
