BRIDGEWATER, Virginia – Ferrum College women's basketball team lost Bridgewater College 51-38. The Panthers got off to a slow start shooting 20% in the first quarter. Graduate student Aisha Martin scored 11 points to lead the Panthers.

THE BASICS
It was a low scoring game as both teams struggled at times from the field. The Eagles took a nine-point lead into the intermission. The Panthers stormed back in the third quarter outscoring the Eagles by seven points and heading into the last period down by two.
Seconds into the fourth quarter, junior Allyson Cassell hit a three pointer to give Ferrum their first lead of the game at 30-29. The Eagles closed the game on a 22-8 run to seal the final outcome.

Ferrum will enter next week's Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament as the #7 seed. The ODAC Tournament first round starts on Tuesday, Feb 25th at the home of the higher seed. For the Panthers, that will mean a first-round game at Bridgewater College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. in Bridgewater, Virginia.
