Kleiauna Riddick led Ferrum College with 14 points in a Conference Carolinas women's basketball win at home over Converse University, winning 77-59 this afternoon at Swartz Gym. The game was the first half of a league doubleheader that saw the men hang on for a 100-93 win over the Valkyries for the sweep.

THE BASICS
Ferrum jumped out to a 10-point lead after one quarter, then exploded for 25 points in the second quarter to take a 43-18 lead into the break.Â
At 5:38 of the third quarter, Riddick's pair of free throws gave Ferrum a 27-point lead at 50-23, and
Sofia Ponce's jumper with one second left in the quarter equaled the margin at 61-34.
A Riddick layup at 4:03 of the fourth quarter gave the Panthers their largest lead of the game, 31 points, making it a 74-43 game. Ferrum hung on for the win, with all 17 players seeing time on the floor.
