ROANOKE, Va. -- Ferrum College delivered a dominant all-around performance today on the road, rolling to a 75-0 shutout win over Hollins University in women's flag football action, played this afternoon at Marjorie T. RECORDS
Ferrum 6-2
Hollins 0-3
THE BASICS
Ferrum wasted no time setting the tone, turning early turnovers into quick touchdowns to build a commanding first-quarter lead.
Macy Taylor opened the scoring with a short touchdown run, and quarterback
Payson Shreeve followed with both passing and rushing scores as the Panthers surged ahead 25-0 after one quarter.
The second quarter saw Ferrum's defense take over completely. Multiple interceptions — including a pick-six by
Samantha Pitzer — helped the Panthers extend the lead to 44-0 at halftime. Ferrum's offense remained efficient, while the defense consistently stifled Hollins' attempts to move the ball.
In the second half, Ferrum continued to pour it on. Shreeve connected with multiple receivers for touchdowns, while contributions from across the roster — including touchdown passes from
Malaea Lotima-Tonga,
Breyana Kimmons, and
Genesis Hernandez — showcased the Panthers' depth.
Defensively, Ferrum dominated from start to finish, recording seven interceptions, three sacks, and holding Hollins to just 33 total yards in total offense. The shutout was sealed with a late touchdown pass from Kimmons to
Skyler Khiev as time expired, capping the 75-0 victory.
