FERRUM, Va. – The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team closed out the 2026 campaign with a road loss to Barton College in Conference Carolinas action, falling 19-2 this afternoon at Truist Stadium.

Barton seized control early, scoring seven goals in the opening quarter to build a 7-1 advantage. Julia Erickson and Berghan Balparda led the early surge, while
Alaia Beckwith got Ferrum on the board with a free-position goal midway through the period.
The Bulldogs continued their momentum in the second quarter, adding six more goals to take a 13-1 lead into halftime. Nicole Malasky and Reagan Fish paced the scoring run as Barton capitalized on multiple player-advantage opportunities.
Ferrum found a spark in the third quarter when
Makaila Veney scored off an assist from
Micaiyah Dickerson, but Barton answered with two more goals to extend its lead. The Bulldogs closed out the game with four goals in the fourth quarter, sealing the 19-2 victory.
