Tyler Brubaker

Tyler Brubaker joined the Ferrum athletic staff as assistant football coach in June of 2016, coaching wide receivers and return specialists. Brubaker played four years at Ferrum from 2009-12. Brubaker returned to Ferrum after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at Averett University, coaching wide receivers. Brubaker coached one All-Conference selection at Averett. In the Fall of 2016, Brubaker coached two All-Conference players, a receiver and a return specialist.
 
As a player at Ferrum, Brubaker was a three-year starter and team captain his senior year in 2012. In two of those years, he was a wide receiver, while the third year he was a running back and returned kickoffs and punts. He helped lead Ferrum to a share of the 2012 USA South football title. His honors include being an All-Conference and All-Sportsmanship selection in 2012, as well as a four-year Academic All-Conference selection.
 
Brubaker graduated Cum Laude from Ferrum in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. Brubaker earned his Master of Education degree from Averett with a concentration in Instruction and Curriculum in December 2016.
