Gerald Culler

Gerald Culler joined the Ferrum coaching staff in January of 2012 as Assistant Softball Coach. He was promoted to Head Softball Coach in July 2015, following the retirement of 24-year Ferrum veteran coach Vickie Van Kleeck.

Culler came to Ferrum from Patrick County High School, where he coached 32 years.  Culler was Head Softball Coach for eight years at Patrick County, Head Baseball Coach 10 years and Head Golf Coach 10 years.  He earned Piedmont District Softball Coach of the Year in 2003, 2009 and 2011, Piedmont District Baseball Coach of the Year in 1986 and 1989, and Piedmont District Golf Coach of the Year in 1997.

A four-year baseball player at High Point University, Culler earned his Bachelor's degree in 1979, majoring in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Biology.  He went on to earn a Master's degree in 1992 from Radford University in Curriculum and Instruction.
