Maggie White came to Ferrum in August 2015 from Radford University, where she served as Head Softball Coach for the Highlanders. She was named Associate Head Softball Coach at Ferrum in June 2021.

White coached at Radford from 2012-15 as head coach, but also served two stints as an assistant coach from 2003-08 and 2011-12. She also served as head softball coach at Georgia Southern University from 2008-11, and has owned and operated the Maggie Johnson Softball Camps since Sept. 2012. While at Radford, she served as Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Support, and was a Faculty Instructor for University 100 courses. As head coach for Radford and Georgia Southern, both NCAA Division I programs, White handled all aspects of those programs, including game and practice management, scheduling, budget management, recruiting, travel coordination and summer camps.

White earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2001, then went on to earn her Master or Education degree in Counseling/Sports Psychology from Boston University in 2003. She was a four-letter winner as a softball player at UNC-Wilmington. White is married to Ferrum alum Mark White '96. The Whites have two daughters, Abigail and Annabelle.
