Mitch Custer played a year at University of Charleston (W.Va.), then transferred to Ferrum and played three seasons with the Panthers. Upon graduating from Ferrum in 2021, he joined the baseball coaching staff at Roanoke College, helping the Maroons win two conference championship appearances in his three seasons. He joined the Panthers baseball staff in January 2025.Â
