Assistant Men's Wrestling Coach Trevon Gray

Trevon Gray

Trevon Gray joined the Ferrum athletic staff in August 2026 as Assistant Wrestling Coach. He will work wioth Hread Wrestling Coach Blake Ruolo.

Gray begins his coaching career after an outstanding wrestling career at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. During his collegiate career, Gray earned two NCAA All-America honors, three NCAA national qualifier berths, three Super Region I championships, and the 2025 Midwest Classic Champion. He also held the No. 1 national ranking during his senior season and was a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American.

Gray was a four-time First Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selection at Pitt-Johnstown and earned several honors for his accomplishments both on and off the mat. He was named the UPJ Student-Athlete of the Year in 2024 after being selected as the school's Freshman Male Athlete of the Year in 2023. He was also a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American and a 8x Dean's List student.

A leader on campus, Gray served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, holding the positions of Treasurer and Vice President. In those roles, he helped manage SAAC finances, SAAC Regional Conference representative, voiced student-athletes in campus discussions, facilitated meetings, and elections.

In addition to his wrestling and leadership accomplishments, Gray earned his bachelor's degree in marketing, also minors in communications and information systems from Pitt-Johnstown. He also brings experience in digital marketing, social media, and brand development, including founding TG Merch, a personal NIL merchandise brand. Through his NIL activities, Gray established partnerships with several national brands and developed his personal brand across multiple social media platforms.

Gray was also active in community service throughout his collegiate career, participating in wrestling clinics, campus volunteer events, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes activities.
