FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College defeated Guilford College 3-0 in non-conference volleyball action at home tonight, winning 30-21, 31-29, 30-17. The win was Ferrum's second straight.

Senior Mindy Altice led the team with 17 kills on 29 attempts for a .552 attack percentage. Altice also had six digs and a service ace. Senior Jessica Walker had 11 kills to go with 20 assists and a pair of aces.

Sophomore Jessica Flanagan had 14 digs and seven kills, while junior Jessica Washburn had 25 assists. The win improves Ferrum to 10-10. The Quakers fall to 5-11 with the loss.

The Panthers will be in action Saturday, Sept. 29, in a USA South Athletic Conference quad meet at Greensboro College. The Panthers will face Methodist University at 2 p.m. and host Greensboro at 4 p.m.
