Quintel Banks rushed for 76 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including the go-ahead score as Ferrum used a late surge to turn back Greensboro College 21-7 in USA South football action this afternoon in Ferrum.

Greensboro opened scoring when Torrey Lowe capped a 5-play, 68-yard drive with a one-yard run to put the Pride up 7-0 at 6:55 of the first quarter. Banks entered the game in the first quarter on Ferrum's third possession., rushing for 10 yards on second down. One play later, Ferrum QB
Matt Dobson ran 53-yard run to set the Panthers up at the Greensboro four yard line. Two plays later, Banks got the call and rumbled in from three yards out to even the game at 7-7 with 2:27 remaining in the first.
Following scoreless second and third quarters, Ferrum drove 72 yards in 10 plays, with Banks scoring on a one-yard plunge on third and goal to put the Panthers ahead 14-7 with 2:51 remaining.
On the ensuring drive, Greensboro QB Mike Caparaso's was sacked twice for losses of 10 and nine yards, before being picked off by Ferrum DB
Osric Robinson on 3rd and 29. Robinson returned the interception for a 49-yard score. Clint Slappey converted the PAT as he has on Ferrum's previous two scores and Ferrum led 21-7 with 1:28 remaining in the game.

Mike Vann had 67 yards on eight carries.
Caparaso was 8-21 passing for 164 yards with no TDs and three interceptions for Greensboro (2-6, 1-4 USA South). Caparasso was sacked six times. Darnell Walker led the Pride with 67 yards on 11 carries. Lowe had 17 yards and a score on 15 carries.
Ferrum (5-3, 4-1 USA South) had 334 yards in total offense, 323 on the ground. Greensboro had 282 yards total offense, 164 passing and 116 rushing.
Defensively,
Zack Brown had five solo tackles, six assisted tackles, a quarterback sack, and a pass breakup.
Shaun Green had three solo tackles, seven assisted tackles and a pair of sacks.
Zack Leonard had two solo stops, nine assisted tackles and two and a half sacks. Brick Crowder had five solo tackles, 10 assisted tackles for the Pride.
