
FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a 3-0 non-conference volleyball match to Emory & Henry College Sept. 11 at home. Game scores were 25-16, 25-16, 25-21. The loss was Ferrum's second this season to the Wasps, including a 3-0 setback to open the season Sept. 6 at the Roanoke Invitational.

Jessica Flanagan had nine kills and nine digs for the Panthers.
Hannah Shumaker and
Mallory Stratton had six kills each, with Shumaker recording 11 assists.
Jessica Washburn had 14 assists, while

Emory & Henry (9-1) was led by Rachel Fertitta's 13 kills and three blocks. Samantha Shepard and Nikki Rogich had eight kills each. Reagan Clarke had 24 assists for the Wasps. Twyla Sessor had 11 digs, while Samantha Lucado and Erin Holben had 10 digs each.
Ferrum (0-5) returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 17, opening USA South Athletic Conference play at Shenandoah University. The match is set to start at 7 p.m. in Winchester, Virginia.
