KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- The Ferrum College softball team won for the fourth time in as many games with a pair of non-conference wins today in Florida.  The Panthers routed Beloit College 11-0, then beat Gwynedd-Mercy College 11-1.

Kashina Hancock went 2-4 against Beloit (0-3) with a solo home run in the third inning, a double, two runs and three RBI.

Hannah Shumaker went 3-3 with a double, two triples, three runs, two RBI and a stolen base.  Allyson Stevens pitched two innings in relief to earn the win, allowing no hits or runs and striking out three.

In the win over Gwynedd-Mercy (0-3), Heather Littles went 3-4 with a double and two runs.  Shumaker went 2-4 with a run, two RBI and a stolen base.  Shumaker also pitched two innings to earn the win, allowing no hits or runs and striking out three.

Ferrum (5-3) plays next on Tuesday, March 2, at 9 a.m. when it faces York College of Pennsylvania in a non-conference doubleheader.
