EMORY, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped its 2011 volleyball season-opener 3-0 to Emory & Henry College tonight on the road. Set scores were 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.
The Panthers were led by junior
Kayla Trippeer, who had eight kills on 23 attacks. Trippeer added three digs, two blocks and an assist. Sophomore
Leah Quinones had 16 assists and freshman
Jordan Link had four kills on 15 attacks.
Morgan Grant had nine kills for the Wasps, Jamie Cockerham had eight and Kimie Caudill had seven. Fallon Davis registered 29 assists.
Ferrum (0-1) will be back in action Sept. 7 at Randolph College at 7 p.m. The Panthers then plat at Hollins University Sept. 10 at 11 a.m.
