FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College volleyball team routed visiting Bluefield State College 3-0 at home tonight during Senior Night.  Graduating seniors Kayla Trippeer and Hannah Shumaker were honored during a ceremony prior to the match. 

Trippeer led the team in kills with nine on 17 attempts.  She added four digs, one service ace, two solo blocks and an assisted block in her final apperance in Swartz Gym.  Shumaker dished out 22 assists, and added five aces and a pair of kills.

Bridgett Atkinson had a team-high eight digs, Rachel Stratton had six kills, Jordan Link had four kills, Brittany Jacobs had two kills to go with six digs.  Hannah Davis had a pair of kills and Sadie Wallace had three aces.  Sarah Bowman had two aces and two digs.

Bluefield (0-12) got four kills each from Ashley Reid, Kendria Perkins and Taylor Barrineau.  Kristen Hutchinson added eight assists, four digs and a block.

Ferrum (3-14) is at Southern Virginia University Friday, Oct. 12.  The non-conference match gets underway at 5:30 p.m. in Buena Vista, Virginia.
