FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College volleyball team dropped its 2012 home-opener tonight, falling 3-0 to non-conference opponent Emory & Henry College. Set scores were 25-11, 25-17, 25-16.
Kayla Trippeer and
Rachel Stratton had six and five kills, respectively, for the Panthers.
Leah Quinones led Ferrum with 12 assists. Trippeer had seven digs, while
Jordan Link had six and Stratton had five. Jamie Cockerham led the Wasps with nine kills, while Nicole Tesh and Hannah Stewart had seven each. Cockerham added eight digs to her total, and Maleah Neely had 25 assists.
Ferrum returns to action Sept. 5 at Guilford College. The non-conference match gets underway at 7 p.m. in Greensboro, North Carolina.
