MARYVILLE, Tenn. --
Shea Smith had 17 points, seven assists and six rebounds to help lead Ferrum College to a 75-50 USA South Athletic Conference women's basketball win over Marville College this afternoon on the road.
Kylene Culler added 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the win,
Boreika Burwell had 13 points, and
Katy Kipps had nine points and nine rebounds. Smith and Burwell each drained a pair of three-pointers, while
Jacole Hairston,
Kayla Goins and
Krista Cox had one each.
Ferrum (6-0, 2-0 USA South) led 34-25 at the break, and shot 52% from the floor to Maryville's 33%. The Panthers cleaned up the boards, 50-28. Jordan Ballard had 11 points for the Scots (8-3, 1-1 USA South), and Mackenzie Pucket added 10 points.

Bryan Harvey's team returns to action Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Lynchburg College. The non-conference game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia.
