USA South Release

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College junior Kylene Culler has been named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the USA South Athletic Conference. This is Culler's first such league honor this season.

Culler averaged a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds per game over four games in earning the honor. Headlining the effort was an 18-point, 13-rebound performance in Ferrum's 79-77 double-overtime win over then #17 Rhodes College Dec. 30 on the road. Culler also posted 12 points and 13 rebounds in a 75-50 USA South win over Maryville College Jan. 4 on the road.

Ferrum (7-0) plays next at USA South opponent Averett University Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2:00 p.m. in Danville, Virginia. Coach Bryan Harvey's team will then host The Apprentice School Sunday, Jan. 12, at 2:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
