Ashley Ammann had seven kills and 12 digs to lead Ferrum College to a USA South Athletic Conference volleyball tonight win over Mary Baldwin College. Set scores in the league win were 25-16, 25-18, 25-11.
Jordan Link added seven kills,
Emily Danner had 13 assists,
Hannah Blake had 11 assists and
Sarah Hendrix had 17 digs for Ferrum.
Jessie O'Conner, who has come on strong down the stretch, posted six kills and four digs. Tonight's victory equals the total wins (7) the program achieved in the past two seasons combined.
Katelyn Rice and Farrah Fullerton each had five kills to lead the Squirrels (1-27, 1-16 USA South). Reilly Kelly had eight assists and eight digs, and Sarah Valddivieso had seven assists. Xenna Belfield and Makayla Scott had eight digs each for Mary Baldwin.
Ferrum (7-21, 5-14 USA South) closes out the season Saturday, Nov. 1, at home against Randolph College. The non-conference match gets underway at 1:00 p.m. in Swartz Gym. Prior to the match, a Senior Day ceremony will be held for Link and
Bridget Atkinson.
