GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Warren Scott rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Greensboro College to a 19-17 USA South Athletic Conference football win over Ferrum College. The Panthers lost despite posting 328 yards in total offense to Greensboro's 276.

Ferrum's Hunter Ferguson opened scoring with a 28-yard field goal at 3:11 of the first quarter. Tyler Fearrington hauled in a Mac Graham 22-yard touchdown pass at 4:10 of the second quarter to give Greensboro a 6-3 lead at halftime. Scott scored the first of his two touchdowns on a 46-yard run early in the third quarter to make it 12-3 Greensboro. Isaiah Rainey-Nix scored a few minutes later for Ferrum when he hauled in an 18-yard scoring strike from Tim Reynolds at 5:35 and the lead was trimmed to 12-10.

Less than two minutes later, Scott scored again on a 30-yard run to give Greensboro a 19-10 lead. Reynolds found Matthew Kennell for a nine-yard touchdown pass with 4:36 left in the game.

Reynolds was 8-20 passing for 84 yards and two touchdowns, but was picked off three times. Graham was 15-37 passing for 136 yards and a score with no interceptions for the Pride (2-6, 2-4 USA South). Chase Sams had 15 tackles for Greensboro, while Raul Gonzalez led the Panthers with nine tackles.

Ferrum (1-7, 1-5 USA South) returns to action Saturday, Nov. 8, at home against Methodist University. A pre-game ceremony will be held to honor the Panthers' graduating seniors.
