LaGRANGE, Ga. -- Ferrum College led 7-0 early on, but LaGrange College came roaring back to score the next 31 points and pick up a 44-28 USA South Athletic Conference football win this afternoon at Callaway Stadium.

Harvey Taylor, who stepped in two weeks ago when starting QB Tim Reynolds suffered a season-ending injury, had 123 yards rushing on 16 carries for Ferrum. Troy Helton had a pair of rushing touchdowns and threw for another, while Breon Washington and Rashad Johnson had nine tackles each for Ferrum (1-9, 1-7 USA South). Matthew Kennell hauled in a 53-yard touchdown reception from Helton with 9:14 left to play.

Graham Craig was 22-37 through the air for 434 yards and five touchdowns with no interceptions for LaGrange (5-5, 3-5 USA South). Garrett Wallace, Larry Murdock and Scott Chewning each made five tackles for LaGrange. Wallace was in on one sack.
