FERRUM, Va. - Ferrum College had three players in double digits this afternoon, which led to a 82-69 USA South women's basketball win over William Peace University in a packed Swartz Gymnasium on Senior Day.
Ferrum's
Jacole Hairston led the Panthers with 17 points, while
Katy Kipps added 16 points.
Shea Smith was able to produce 10 points and six assists. Smith also led the floor in steals with three. On defense for Ferrum, Kipps had a team high, seven rebounds.
For William Peace (4-17, 4-11 USA South), Crystal Alston had a game high 18 points. Zhana Gooden added 13 points and six rebounds for the Pacers, while Derrica Jones had 11 points and led the floor with nine rebounds. Lexus Simpson had 10 points.
As a part of Senior Day,

Kayla Goins,
Katy Kipps, and
Shea Smith were all honored before the game. This was the last regular season home game for the team.
The #17 Panthers (20-1, 14-1 USA South) will return to action February 18th at Greensboro College. The game is set to start at 6 p.m.
