Katy Kipps (8 pts, 15 reb) and
Kylene Culler (8 pts, 10 reb) were both two points shy of a double-double in Ferrum College's 73-43 USA South women's basketball win tonight over Averett University at Swartz Gym.
Shea Smith led the Panthers with 17 points on 7-9 shooting from the floor, and added five rebounds and three assists.
Kayla Goins was also in double figures with 13 points, 12 of which came from behind the arc. Goins also had five assists, five rebounds, and a steal.
Kemani Crawford had nine points and seven rebounds, while
Jessica Rhodes added eight points and a blocked shot.
Nicole Garcia had 10 points for the Cougars (4-13, 3-8 USA South). The Panthers out-rebounded Averett by a whopping 54-28. Ferrum shot 44% from the floor, to Averett's 21%.
