Hunter Ferguson's 22-yard field goal with six seconds remaining in regulation gave Ferrum College a 32-31 come-from-behind USA South football win over Methodist University this afternoon at Monarch Stadium.

Michael Hunter hauled in a
Troy Helton pass and raced 66 yards for the touchdown, then
Raushod Floyd and Helton scored rushing touchdowns of three and 35 yards, respectively. After Helton's score, the Panthers'
Tyler Morgan converted a two-point PAT to put Ferrum on top 29-28. Methodist's Brandon Torres kicked a 33-yard field goal with 3:33 left to play and the Monarchs were back on top 31-29. After Zack Tickle returned the ensuing kickoff 30 yards to the Ferrum 40 yard line, Helton marched the team 55 yards over the next 11 plays and faced first and goal at the Methodist five yard line with 0:09 showing on the clock. Ferguson trotted onto the field and split the uprights from 22 yards out for a 32-31 lead. Methodist had the ball one last chance, but a completed pass was fumbled and the Panthers recovered at midfield for the win.
