FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College shot 62% from the floor in the first half in opening a 47-32 lead at the break, and hung on in the second half for a 78-62 USA South Athletic Conference women's basketball win over visiting Averett University tonight at Swartz Gym. The win keeps the Panthers perfect in league play at 2-0.

Kemani Crawford led the Panthers for the second straight game, this time posting 19 points and nine rebounds. She had 30 points and six rebounds in Ferrum's win over Bridgewater College Dec. 16 at home.
