HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Ferrum College split a pair of non-conference volleyball matches held this afternoon at Eastern Mennonite University. The Panthers opened with a 3-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan College, with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17. Ferrum then fell to the host Royals 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-16.

The Panthers got 16 kiills and 14 digs from Hannah Helbert, 19 assists each from Cheyenne Strickland and Emily Danner, and an impressive 29 digs from Sarah Hendrix in the win over the Marlins. Helbert then posted eight kills and six digs, while Hendrix had 14 digs in the loss to EMU.
