MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Luke Bailey threw for 234 yards and five touchdowns, and ran for 119 yards as Huntingdon College beat Ferrum College 48-27 in USA South football action this afternoon at Samford Stadium.

Huntingdon led 21-7 after the first quarter on a pair toudhdown passes from Bailey to Nick Haas and Vic Jerald, and a Jerald TD run. Ferrum's score was a

Bailey had two more TD passes before halftime, one to Diggan Andre and one to Otis Porter, while Taylor was able to connect with Rashaud Floyd for a score and the lead was 34-13 at halftime. Bailey tossed his final TD pass of the day in the third quarter, to Chris Cannon and John Iwaniec rumbled 39 yards into the end zone for Huntingdon's last score, which put the Hawks on top 48-13.
Brian Mann and
Khari Chase each had a rushing touchdown for the Panthers in the fourth quarter to account for the final score. Mann closed the day with 122 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, his fifth straight 100-yard rushing performance. The Hawks rolled up 538 yards in total offense to Ferrum's 316.
