FINAL RESULTS
YORK, Pa. -- Ferrum College's wrestling team had five place-winners at the 2016 New Standard Corp. Invitational, held today at York College. The tournament is considered one of the most challenging in the country, with this year's field of 16 NCAA Division III teams including 11 nationally-ranked programs.
The Panthers were led by
Logan Meister (157) and
Blake Rosenbaum (174), who each placed fourth individually. Rosenbaum finished 6-2 on the day with four pins.
Collin Saunders (149),
Andrew Tolbert (165) and
Tate Dulany (285) each posted sixth-place finishes.
Ithaca College won the team title with 149.5 points and two individual champions. Roger Williams University (135) and Stevens Institute of Technology (126) were second and third, followed by Johnson and Wales University (125.5) and Ferrum (90.5). Ferrum finished ahead of seven of the 11 ranked squads entered in the tournament.
