FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped the third and final game of a USA South series with Greensboro College this afternoon at home, falling 11-7 in 10 innings at Panther Field. The Panthers won the first two games Saturday, 6-0 and 7-1.

THE BASICS
Greensboro scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to grab a 7-5 lead, but the Panthers responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to force extra innings.
Dominick Claxton scored the game-tying run on a wild pitch, just beating the tag. The Pride then scored four runs in the 10th inning, including Brandon Soden's solo homer over the left field wall to open the inning. Ferrum used eight pitchers in the league loss.
