DANVILLE, Va. -- Ferrum College's women's basketball team dropped a USA South Athletic Conference road game this afternoon at Averett University, falling 64-61 at the Grant Center.

THE BASICS
Averett used an 11-2 run in the final five minutes of regulation to post the comeback win.
Erin March's jumper from the right side with 5:02 left in regulation put Ferrum on top 59-53. The Cougars chipped away at the lead, and went out in front 61-59 when Ravyn Johnson sank a pair of free throws with 49 seconds showing on the clock.
