ASHLAND, Va. -- Brian Mann had 180 yards rushing and two touchdowns to lead Ferrum College to a 28-23 Old Dominion Athletic Conference football road win over Randolph-Macon College this afternoon at Day Field.

THE BASICS
Chris Vidal got the Yellow Jackets on the scoreboard first with a 28-yard field at 8:33 of the first quarter. Mann scored his first touchdown, a one-yard run, at 3:28 of the first to give the Panthers a short-lived 7-3 lead. Eric Hoy plunged in from 11 yards out to open the second quarter, putting R-MC back out in front 10-7.
Five plays into the next drive, Mann took a handoff at Ferrum's 25 yards line and scampered 75 yards for the score to give the Panthers a 14-10 lead, one they would never relinquish. Quentin Wallace hauled in a 25-yard scoring strike from Zack Clifford at 4:29 of the second and the lead was 21-10.
The Yellow Jackets scored on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Burke Estes to Owen Ritter with 1:25 left in the first half and Ferrum held a 21-17 lead at the break. Clifford then capped a 13-play, 75-yard drive at 9:46 of the third quarter with a three-yard touchdown run to extend Ferrum's lead to 28-17. Tre Frederick closed out scoring with a five-yard run with 2:49 left in regulation for the host Yellow Jackets.
