MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. -- Ferrum College dropped both ends of a non-conference baseball doubleheader to Virginia Wesleyan University this afternoon on the road, falling 11-7 (10 innings) in the opener and 4-3 in the nightcap at Big Rock Stadium.

THE BASICS
Brady Fallon singled to center field to drive in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning of the opener, and the Marlins tacked on three more runs to close out the frame. In the nightcap,

Brandon Roberts scored unearned runs in the top of the eighth inning to give Ferrum a 3-2 lead, but Virginia Wesleyan answered with three runs in the bottom of the frame to get the doubleheader sweep.
