GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Ferrum College baseball team picked up a USA South Athletic Conference win tonight on the road, beating Greensboro College 11-6 at Ted Leonard Park.

THE BASICS
The Panthers jumped out in front 2-0 in the second inning, with
Tim Ortega scoring on a wild pitch and
Drew Calohan crossing the plate on a passed ball. Greensboro tied the game in the bottom of the third on a two-RBI single by Tyler Price. Ferrum struck for six runs in the fifth, three off
Garrett Dorton's home run over the right field fence. Starter
Jacob Holland (2-0) pitched six innings to get the win, allowing seven hits, three earned runs and no walks, with seven strikeouts. Calohan went 2-5 with a double, a run and three RBI. Starter Will Hicks (2-2) absorbed the loss for the Pride after allowing six hits, six earned runs and a pair of walks over five innings, with five strikeouts. The USA South win stopped Ferrum's five-game skid.
