Box Score EMORY, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's basketball game to Emory & Henry College tonight on the road, falling 85-67 at John Rutledge King Center.

THE BASICS
Ferrum jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening minutes on baskets by Arin Bunker, Cameron Hawkins and Aisha Martin. The Panthers closed out the first quarter with an 18-8 lead. Emory rebounded with a strong second quarter, outscoring the Panthers 22-10 to grab a slim lead at the break, 30-28.
Kayla Cabiness drilled a three-pointer to open the third quarter, followed by a Bunker layup and the Panthers had the lead at 33-30. Martin's two made free throws a few minutes later put Ferrum back out in front 35-34.
Later in the third with the game tied 46-46, Jessy Nichols knocked down a three-pointer, Cabiness converted a layup and Hawkins dropped two free throws to give Ferrum a 53-46 lead with 2:49 left in the third. The Wasps used an 8-4 run to close out the third down 57-54.
Emory & Henry ran away with it in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Panthers 31-10, including eight points by Alexis Hoppers.
KEY STATS
Hoppers had 21 points and 14 rebounds to lead Emory & Henry to the ODAC win. Kylea Cooper had 17 points and Brylee Jones added 14 points for the Wasps. Cabiness had a game-high 24 points for Ferrum, Aisha Martin had 12 points and Cameron Hawkins had 10 points. The Wasps shot 44% from the floor to Ferrum's 37%, and outrebounded the Panthers 50-35.
