THE BASICS

Hugney extended Shenandoah's lead to 20-0 early in the fourth quarter when he went up the middle for 10 yards and his second score of the afternoon.

Ferrum had a promising scoring opportunity late in the game when Avion Smith picked off Hugney, giving Ferrum the ball at the Shenandoah 15 yard line. A fumble three plays later at the five yard line was recovered by SU's Ahvyon Boothe and the Hornets were able to run out the clock.
