Maroons Beat Ferrum in Field Hockey

SALEM, Virginia -- Grace Vernarelli scored three goals to lead Roanoke College to a 6-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) field hockey win over Ferrum College tonight at Kerr Stadium.

THE BASICS
Vernarelli scored all three of her goals in the first 5:07 of the game to put the Maroons out in front early. Saige Bullock scored a goal at 10:52, then Lindsey Keyes rattled the back of the cage at the 19:27 mark to make it a 5-0 game at the break. Carsyn Poppa added a goal for Roanoke in the 44th minute of play for the final count.
