BRIDGEWATER, Virginia -- Ferrum College's men's soccer team dropped its season opener to Bridgewater, falling 3-0 this afternoon at the Bridgewater Soccer Complex.

Daniel Golden saved the first shot and fell to the feet of Trevon Phillips and he found the back of the net for the lead. Phillips would then net his second goal of the game on a cross from Vincent Marra, the Eagles led 2-0 at halftime. Daniel Shulgan headed a ball crossed in, to extend the lead to 3-0 in the second half.
