FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's soccer team dropped its home opener to visiting William Peace University, falling 3-0 this afternoon at Penn-Roediger Field.

Rachel Alford put the Pacers on the scoreboard first with a goal at the 12:45 mark, off a pass from Raine Greene. The 1-0 lead held through halftime, then Greene notched an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute of play. Shaelyn Webb added an insurance goal at 69:09 with Gabrielle Jones assisting on the tally for the final score.
