FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College picked up a 57-45 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory over Virginia Wesleyan University this afternoon in Turner Gym.

THE BASICS
Demeisha Canada's two free throws, tied the game at 4-4 with 5:09 to lay in the first quarter.
Hannah Huffman's jumper at 2:14 gave Ferrum a four point lead, 10-6.
Erin Harden's three-pointer at the buzzer gave the Panthers a 13-6 lead after one quarter of play.
Kayla Cabiness hit a jumper early in the second quarter to spark a 12-0 run for Ferrum and give them a 27-10 lead with 1:55 left in the half. Logan Carter's basket under a minute stopped the run. Cabiness added a three-pointer just before the half to give the Panthers a 30-12 lead.
After a Ferrum basket, Adaje Williams scored a put back layup and Virginia Wesleyan cut the lead to ten, 39-29 with 3:32 left in third quarter. Ferrum closed out the quarter on a 9-0 run, to take a 48-29 lead after three quarters of play.
Virginia Wesleyan outscored Ferrum 16-9 in the fourth quarter, but never got within ten points the rest of the game.
