FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida -- Ferrum College's men's wrestling team wrapped up action at the 2023 Citrus Invitational, held at Cardinal Gibbons High School. The Panthers placed 11th in na field of 14 teams, with an individual champ in junior Rayshawn Dixon and two other placewinners.

THE BASICS
Dixon went 4-0 with a pin to grab the 285-pound title. It was the third individual title this season for Dixon, who also won the Mount Union Invitational and the Cougar Open. In his title match, Dixon beat Ka`Ron Lewis of the University of the Ozarks by a 4-0 decision. This is Dixon's second Citrus Invitational title.

Also placing at the Citrus Invitational were sophomore Adrian Samano and junior Zack Beckner. Samano went 4-2 with a pin and a tech fall to place fourth at 125 pounds. Beckner went 3-1 with three tech falls to place eighth at 133 pounds. The Panthers entered 17 wrestlers in the tournament.
