Women's Lacrosse Falls to Brevard College on the Road

BREVARD, North Carolina -- The Ferrum College women's lacrosse team fell on the road 12-10 against Brevard College in a non-conference contest this afternoon at Ives-Lemel Family Field.

THE BASICS
Emily Denaga scored two goals for Brevard as they took an early 4-0 lead with 8:30 to play in the first quarter. Willow Cooper scored Ferrum's first goal and added a second goal with just over a minute left in the quarter. parker Moore grabbed a goal with 27 seconds left in the first for the Tornados.

The Panthers scored four straight goals to tie things up 6-6, just seven minutes into the second quarter. Brevard took the lead 7-6, just 13 seconds later. Erin Reynolds knotted things up at 7-7 with an unassisted goal. Paige Kneubuhler gave the Tornado's a 8-7 lead just before halftime.

Brevard opened the second half with a goal, taking a 9-7 lead. Bianca Cellitto pulled the Panthers back within one, on assist from Reynolds. Savannah Colliver put the Tornado's up by 2, 10-8 after three quarters of play. 

Cellitto netted her second goal of the game, courtesy of a Cooper assist to start the fourth quarter. Parker Moore would score two goals to close out the scoring for Brevard. Cooper brought Ferrum back within one, 12-11 from a Reagan Aldridge assist.
