FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's lacrosse game at home to Muskingum University, falling 11-7 in the consolation game of the Blue Ridge Classic this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium.

THE BASICS
Muskingum drew first blood, courtesy of a Hunter McGuire goal less than three minutes in to the game. Ferrum's Tommy answered with a pair of goals and the Panthers led 2-1 at the 7:16 mark of the first quarter.
Terrance Scales and
Adam Brooks would score for the Panthers before the end of the quarter and the score was 5-4 Muskingum after one.
Nathan Piggott and
Jacob Carroll would each find the back of the net in the second quarter to make it a 6-6 game at the break.
The Muskies held Ferrum scoreless in the third quarter, and netted three goals to make it a 9-6 game after three, then extended the lead to 11-6 midway through the fourth.
Michael Paolicelli scored for the Panthers with a minute left to play for the final count.
