DEMOREST, Georgia -- Piedmont University used an eighth inning comeback to defeat Ferrum College, 4-2 at Loudermilk Field in the Piedmont Spring Break Tournament

THE BASICS
Ozzie Torres belted a homerun in the leadoff spot, to give Ferrum an early 1-0 lead. Piedmont would answer in the bottom half of the inning and tie things up 1-1.
Enrique Diaz drove in
Bryce Thacker on an RBI groundout in the top of the sixth, to give the Panthers a 2-1 lead.
The Lions tied things up on Nathan Mix's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Kolton Hicks then drove in the game winning run, when he reached first on an error. Two runners would cross the plate and give Piedmont a 4-2 lead.
