#20 Tigers Beat Ferrum Men

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Virginia -- Max Koontz led #20 Hampden-Sydney College with four goals and an assist as the Tigers beat Ferrum College 25-4 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's lacrosse action this afternoon at Lewis C. Everett Field.

THE BASICS
Hampden-Sydney opened an 11-0 lead before Michael Paolicelli broke up the shutout with a goal in the waning seconds of the first quarter.

Tommy Jackson added an unassisted goal to open the second quarter and trim the lead to 11-2. The Tigers then rattled off eight unanswered goals to clos out the first half with an impressive 19-2 lead.

Hampden-Sydney held Ferrum scoreless in the third quarter, while scoring four more goals to expand the lead to 23-2.

The two teams played evenly in the fourth quarter, each scoring a pair of goals. Ferrum got its final two goals of the day from Jackson at 14:16 and Jacob Carroll at 2:52.
