WINCHESTER, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped both ends of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball doubleheader today at Shenandoah University, including game two, which was halted after five and a half innings due to thunderstorms. The Panthers dropped the opener 5-0 and the nightcap 8-3.

GAME 1
Shenandoah got all five runs in the opener in the second inning, including three off Danielle McNeill's triple to right field.

GAME 2
In the nightcap, Shenandoah scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take control early.
Emily Walker's RBI single to right center and Overfelt's sac fly to center field in the second inning put two runs on the board for Ferrum. Shenandoah answered with two in the second and one in the third to widen the lead to 8-2 after three fulling innings.
Breanna Weaver's sac fly to center field in the top of the fifth inning accounted for the final run of the game.
