Baseball Falls to #8 Lynchburg on the Road

THE BASICS
Carrson Atkins drove in two runs with a double to left center field, giving Lynchburg a 2-0 lead. The Hornets scored one more in the fifth on a balk. Zach Potts threw a complete game, giving up just five hits and striking out ten. 

In game two, Gavin Collins hit a two-run homerun in the bottom of the fourth to and a RBI single gave Lynchburg a 3-0 lead. Ferrum's Justin Brady hit a triple to drive in Chitwood, Thomas brought him home on a RBI single. Shawn Baxter drove in a run to tie things up 3-3. Lynchburg took the lead in the bottom of the fifth 4-3.

Clayton Michael gave the Panthers the lead with a solo homerun to lead off the sixth inning, 4-3. The Hornets got one back in the bottom half of the inning to retake the lead 5-4.
