FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College football earned a hard fought 13-10 win against LaGrange College at W.B. Adams Stadium this afternoon.

THE BASICS
After a scoreless first quarter,
Seth Deaton's 38-yard field goal with 50 seconds left in the first half, put Ferrum up 3-0. On the ensuing kick-off,
David Hudnell forced a fumble on the return and
Jerron Sellars jumped on it at the LaGrange 18-yard line. The Panthers were held to a 26-yard field goal by Deaton, to go up 6-0 at the half.
After a 12 play, 70 yard drive by the Ferrum offense,
Jahylen Lee found the endzone from 3-yards out to lead 13-0. Landon Eaker's field goal for LaGrange with 2:46 remaining in the third quarter broke the Panthers six and a half consecutive quarters of not allowing a point. JayDon Cooper scored for the visiting Panthers with 50 seconds left in the game to get within three, 13-10. Ferrum recovered the onside kick and held on for a non-conference win over their former USA South rivals LaGrange.
